A Colombo Plan Scholar and obtained his degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Auckland, New Zealand in 1965. Dr. Lim continued his post-graduate studies in the same university and was awarded a Ph.D. degree in 1968.

In 1969, Dr. Lim served the Jabatan Telekom as an Assistant Controller in charge of the implementation of the first Malaysian Satellite Earth Station in Kuantan. He was later designated as Station Manager of the Earth Station. He joined University of Malaya in 1971 as lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering and was promoted to an Associate Professor of the University of Malaya in 1976.
Dr. Lim is the founder of Industronics. His wealth of experience in the electronics field contributes greatly to the development and progress of Industronics, notably the development of their own proprietary designs in the products manufactured by Industronics. | |
